Nistec, a leading company in Israel’s electronics industry, has announced a significant investment of approximately 2 million NIS in establishing new circuit coating departments at its facilities in northern Israel, located in Ma’alot and Katzrin. This initiative aims to enhance the company’s manufacturing capabilities and meet the growing demands of the defense industry.
According to the company, the new departments were established in response to increasing demands from defense sector clients developing electronic products that require advanced coatings. This move also addresses the shortage of advanced circuit coating capabilities in Israel. These departments will enable significant improvements in the coating quality of printed circuit boards (PCBs), contributing to their durability under harsh conditions and enhancing their technical performance.
Nistec utilizes innovative coating technology, including an Atomized Spray Coating system, which involves precise imaging of areas requiring coating and spraying the material uniformly and thinly (ranging between 25-50 microns) in compliance with IPC 610 CLASS3 standards. The new coating line also features a washing machine to remove contaminants from the PCBs before coating, ensuring a uniform and hermetic coating. Post-spraying, the coating undergoes drying and curing in IR ovens, depending on the material and production requirements, to guarantee high durability.
Expanding Operations in the North
The establishment of the new coating departments is part of Nistec’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the northern region, particularly in light of the recent conflicts. The company views this initiative as an opportunity to collaborate with additional clients in the area and contribute to the region’s economic and social development.
Nistec CEO, Mr. Yitzhak Nissan, stated: “We are proud to lead the Israeli electronics industry and strengthen our local manufacturing capabilities. This investment in the new departments is not just an investment in technology but also in people—our teams and the Israeli defense industry.” “Our commitment is to innovate and lead the market. This investment is just one step in a series of initiatives planned for the coming years,” Nissan added.
